Today’s Best NBA Bets & Picks: Thursday (3/16)
Mar 16, 2023 - 2:07 PMWe’re tapped in for a rare Thursday card here at Betting Pros, as we come off a 2-1 ATS night, losing only on the Lakers following an abysmal fourth quarter from the Lake Show. As much of the betting world focuses on college basketball, let’s dial into three games I’m on for tonight’s slate as 100 ATS wins is now within reach.

Sacramento Kings vs. Brooklyn Nets
Despite losing their two superstars this season Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving less than a month ago, don’t tell this Brooklyn team they are headed for the basement. Coming into tonight, the young Nets have now won five of their past seven, picking up impressive wins over Boston, Minnesota, and Denver in the process.
They now welcome to town a Kings team playing on the second of a back-to-back and their third game in four days. Though they’re hot in their own right, winning four of five, look for the zig-zagging of the country to catch up with them tonight, with a game looming in DC just around the corner on Saturday.
Bet: Nets -2 (-110)
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Toronto Raptors
The Thunder might very well still be in the midst of a rebuild, but no one told the players as they continue to fight hard each and every night. Halfway through March, the Thunder now sit in the ninth seed, just 1.5 games behind the Warriors for the last guaranteed playoff spot. Coming into tonight, they’ve now won here straight as well, picking up wins over Brooklyn, San Antonio, and New Orleans, as the task isn’t much tougher tonight in Toronto.
Though we’re used to the Raptors rallying late in the season, this is not one of those teams, as they now come into this one having lost three of their past four as they continue to flounder in the East. Also in the 9th spot, I don’t think this team is nearly as hungry, and the Thunder should manage to keep it close tonight.
Bet: Thunder +5.5 (-110)
Orlando Magic vs. Phoenix Suns
Currently treading water in the four-seed in the West, it’s go time for this Suns team to make a run. Having now lost three straight games, the Suns are prime for a bounce-back performance and the Magic are just the team to take their frustrations out on.
Bet: Suns -7.5 (-110)
