Wade, Heat look to rebound from bad loss

Dec 11, 2006 - 2:15 PM Toronto (7-13) at Miami (8-11) 7:30 pm EST

MIAMI (Ticker) -- When Dwyane Wade has a below average night, the Miami Heat are in trouble.

Wade was held to 21 points in Miami's last game, and aims to rebound when the World Champion Heat host the Toronto Raptors on Monday.

Wade was held relatively in check in a lopsided 123-107 defeat at Denver on Friday. Wade, who averages 27.5 points-per-game, shot 8-of-15 from the field.

Toronto has lost four straight and tries to shake off a 93-83 home loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.

Morris Peterson led Toronto with 23 points and Fred Jones added 17 points for the Raptors, who shot only 29 percent (29-of-83) from the floor and a paltry 26 percent (6-of-21) from the arc.

The win was only Portland's second in its last nine games. The Trail Blazers played without Zach Randolph, who was suspended by the club for one game after making an obscene gesture to Indiana fans on Friday.
