James, Cavaliers look to extend mastery of Hornets

Dec 11, 2006 - 2:56 PM Cleveland (12-7) at New Orleans (9-10) 8:00 pm EST

OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- The bad news for the Cleveland Cavaliers is they are only 3-5 on the road this season. The good news is their next road game is against the New Orleans Hornets on Monday.

LeBron James and the Cavaliers have dominated the Hornets lately in winning their last seven games against them. They go for eight straight in a game that will be played in Oklahoma City.

Cleveland has won two straight, the latest triumph an easy 107-75 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. James led the Cavaliers with 27 points while Zydrunas Ilgauskas chipped in with 15 points.

The Hornets are struggling and have lost seven of their last eight. They dropped a lopsided 101-80 decision to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.

Desmond Mason led the Hornets with 24 points and Jannero Pargo netted 15 for New Orleans, which was tied, 45-45, with the Warriors before being outscored, 56-35, in the second half.
