Howard, Magic look to bounce back vs. Raptors

Dec 13, 2006 - 4:33 PM Toronto (7-14) at Orlando (15-8) 7:00 pm EST

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) - Coming off his worst game of the season, Dwight Howard looks to bounce back against the Toronto Raptors.

Howard and the Orlando Magic will take on the Raptors on Wednesday in the finale of a four-game homestand.

In a 103-89 loss to Phoenix on Monday, Howard was held to a season-low four points and three rebounds. Leading the NBA in boards at 12.6 per game, the third-year center played only 19 minutes and fouled out late in the fourth quarter.

It was the first time in 14 games that Howard was held to less than 10 points. After he collected nine points and eight rebounds on November 15, Howard recovered with back-to-back 20-point, 20-rebound games.

While the Magic have lost two of their first three contests on their homestand and four of six overall, the Raptors are on a four-game skid. In their last contest, Chris Bosh missed his second straight game with a bruised knee.

Anthony Parker scored 18 points and T.J Ford contributed 10 points and 12 assists for the Raptors, who shot 43 percent (35-of-81) from the field in a 99-77 loss to Miami on Monday.

Toronto has won three of its last four contests against the Magic overall.
