Struggling Hawks, Grizzlies clash Friday
Dec 15, 2006 - 4:42 PM Atlanta (8-13) at Memphis (5-17) 8:00 pm ESTMEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Hawks and Memphis Grizzlies seek to snap four-game losing streaks when they meet on Friday.
Atlanta has lost its last six meetings with the Grizzlies.
Marvin Williams scored a career-high 23 points and Salim Stoudamire added 12, but the Hawks endured a 94-82 setback to the New York Knicks on Wednesday.
Zaza Pachulia and Tyronn Lue had 10 points apiece for Atlanta, which was without leading scorer Joe Johnson (calf) for the third straight game.
Mike Miller scored 20 points and Damon Stoudamire finished with 15, but Memphis absorbed an 85-79 loss to Portland on Wednesday.
Chucky Atkins had 14 points and rookie Rudy Gay added 12 for the Grizzlies, who were outrebounded, 41-31.
