Suns aim for 13th consecutive win

PHOENIX (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Suns seek to extend their winning streak to 13 games when they host the Golden State Warriors on Friday.

The streak is the Suns' longest since a franchise-record 14-game run from December 1-30, 1992.

Phoenix has won 17 of its last 20 games against the Warriors.

On Wednesday, Shawn Marion collected 23 points and 13 rebounds as Phoenix extended its winning streak to 12 games with a 99-89 victory over Miami.

Steve Nash recorded his seventh straight double-double with 18 points and 11 assists.

The Warriors will start a six-game road trip on Friday.

Baron Davis scored 13 of his 34 points in the fourth quarter and nailed a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds remaining as Golden State posted a 109-107 victory over Houston on Thursday.

Monta Ellis collected 17 points and six assists for the Warriors, who shot 48 percent (38-of-80) from the field.
