Jazz meet Kings for second matchup this season

Dec 15, 2006 - 4:56 PM Sacramento (9-11) at Utah (17-5) 9:00 pm EST

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- The last time the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings met, the Jazz had a habit of making comebacks. Utah hopes to avoid that trend when it hosts Sacramento on Friday.

On November 22, the Jazz rallied from a 21-point deficit to post a 110-101 victory over the Kings. It was the third time in a four-game run that Utah had to rally for a win.

The Jazz are getting by a little differently now after a 105-86 triumph over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. Carlos Boozer collected 28 points and 15 rebounds and Deron Williams added 28 points and 14 assists. Mehmet Okur had 18 points for Utah, which shot 51 percent.

The Kings have dropped six of their last seven following a 126-113 setback to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. Kevin Martin netted 32 points, Ron Artest 22 and John Salmons 18 with 10 assists for Sacramento, which fell victim to 15 3-pointers by Golden State.

The Kings have lost their last four road contests.
