Without Bosh, Raptors look for third straight win vs. Warriors

Dec 17, 2006 - 3:20 PM Golden State (12-12) at Toronto (9-14) 1:00 pm EST

TORONTO (Ticker) -- Surprisingly, without Chris Bosh, the Toronto Raptors are playing their best basketball of the season.

The Raptors will go for their season-high third straight victory when they host the Golden State Warriors, who have lost six straight road contests.

Bosh will be sidelined indefinitely with a left knee injury the team announced Friday. Bosh missed his fourth straight game Friday night, sitting out a contest against the New Jersey Nets.

The team said in a release that Bosh would be out "an indefinite period of time until the swelling and discomfort has completely dissipated."

In Friday's contest, T.J. Ford scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, when Toronto nearly squandered an eight-point lead before eventually pulling away to a 90-78 win over New Jersey.

Anthony Parker and Joey Graham added 15 points apiece for the Raptors, who have won two straight following a four-game losing streak.

The Warriors continue their six-game road trip Sunday. On Friday, Monta Ellis scored 24 points for Golden State, which shot 40 percent (38-of-94) from the field in a 105-101 loss to red-hot Phoenix.

Toronto has lost their last three games against the Warriors and seven of the last nine.
