Jazz look to improve road record at Pacers

Dec 17, 2006 - 5:15 PM Utah (17-6) at Indiana (13-12) 2:30 pm EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz have been one of the best home teams in the NBA this season. The road has been a different story.

After dropping three of their last four games away from home, the Jazz will hit the road against the Pacers Sunday.

Utah is tied with Cleveland for the league's best home record at 11-2, but is just 6-4 on the road. The Jazz start a five-game swing on Sunday.

Despite their prowess in Salt Lake City, the Jazz had a rare home loss in their last contest. Carlos Boozer had 14 points and 11 rebounds and Andrei Kirilenko contributed 11, 11 and three blocks for Utah, which shot 46 percent (34-of-73) in a 98-97 loss to Sacramento on Friday.

Also, on Friday, Danny Granger scored 21 of his career-high 25 points in the first half to lead the Pacers to a 112-96 triumph over New York. The 6-9 Granger was at his best in the second quarter, when he scored 15 points to help the Pacers take control of the game.

Granger scored seven points during a 13-3 burst, which gave Indiana a 59-42 bulge with 1:22 left in the half. He finished 8-of-10 from the floor overall.

Indiana has won the last seven contests vs. Utah, including the last four at Conseco Fieldhouse.
