Warren leads LSU over Louisiana-Lafayette 66-58
Dec 2, 2009 - 2:55 AM BATON ROUGE, La.(AP) -- Storm Warren scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to help LSU defeat Louisiana-Lafayette 66-58 on Tuesday night.Warren recorded his fourth double-double in six games this season and his 16 rebounds were a career high.
Tasmin Mitchell also had a double-double for the Tigers (4-2) with a season-high 26 points and 10 rebounds. Bo Spencer added 14 points.
Travis Bureau led the Ragin' Cajuns with 10 points. Tyren Johnson and Randell Daigle, who were each averaging 13.8 points per game, were held to six and five points, respectively.
Louisiana-Lafayette (1-4), which trailed by as many as seven points early in the second half, tied the score at 43 on a 3-pointer by Lamar Roberson with 10:03 left. On the next possession, Chris Bass made a 3-pointer to give LSU the lead for good.
Warren then sank a pair of foul shots to give LSU a five-point lead.
