Oklahoma gets past Utah in overtime, 78-73

Dec 13, 2009 - 12:03 AM SALT LAKE CITY(AP) -- Willie Warren scored 27 points and Tommy Mason-Griffin had a career-best 18 points as Oklahoma outlasted Utah 78-73 in overtime Saturday.

In overtime, Warren scored on a drive and then hit a 26-foot 3-pointer to beat the shot clock and give Oklahoma a 74-71 lead.

Luka Drca, who had 13 points and eight rebounds for Utah (5-5), stole the ball, and Warren fouled out trying to slow him on the resulting breakaway. Drca made both free throws, but the Utes did not score again.

Mason-Griffin made two free throws and then had a steal and another free throw to secure the win for the Sooners (7-3).

For Utah, Carlon Brown scored 16 points and hit the shot that sent the game into overtime. But Brown made just 4-of-15 shots, and the Utes missed their last 15 3-point attempts.
