Olivet Nazarene bounces Chicago State 75-68
Dec 18, 2009 - 5:57 AM CHICAGO(AP) -- Four players scored in double figures to pace Olivet Nazarene's 75-68 victory over Chicago State on Thursday night.The NAIA Tigers (8-5) got 15 points from Rashad Mitchell, 12 from Nick Klomstad, 11 from Antonio Marshall and 10 from Brandon Streets. Mitchell scored only one basket but sank 13 of 14 free throws.
The Cougars (3-6) were led by game-high totals of 27 points and 12 rebounds from Carl Montgomery. Damian Windham added 12 and Christian Wall 11.
Chicago State, which lost its fifth in a row, led 36-35 at intermission.
The Cougars now embark on a six-game road trip before returning home to face Northern Illinois on Jan. 6.
Olivet Nazarene will be off until playing Jan. 1-2 in the Northwood University Tournament in West Palm Beach, Fla.
