Louisiana Tech holds off Houston 99-94

Dec 30, 2009 - 4:55 AM HOUSTON(AP) -- Magnum Rolle and Olu Ashaolu each recorded double-doubles and Kyle Gibson added 28 points as Louisiana Tech defeated Houston 99-94 Tuesday night.

Rolle scored a career-high 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Ashaolu had a double-double just 15 minutes into the game and finished with 17 points and a career-high 21 rebounds for the Bulldogs (12-2).

Adam Brown scored 20 points, and Kelvin Lewis and Aubrey Coleman each added 19 for the Cougars (7-4).

Louisiana Tech trailed just once in the second half - 59-58 with 15:56 to play - but didn't secure the victory until Ashaolu's dunk with 19 seconds remaining, the game's final points.

The contest featured 12 ties and four lead changes, and the Bulldogs led at halftime 47-46.

Louisiana Tech outrebounded Houston 55-32 and finished with 21 second-chance points.
