ETSU beats Kennesaw State 63-46
Jan 8, 2010 - 1:12 AM KENNESAW, Ga.(AP) -- Tommy Hubbard posted his eighth double-double of the season as East Tennessee State won its third straight game, beating Kennesaw State 63-46 on Thursday night.Hubbard finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Bucs (8-7, 4-0 Atlantic Sun Conference), who held Kennesaw State to its lowest point total of the season. Justin Tubbs added 10 points, while Sheldon Cooley dished out six assists.
The Bucs shot 41.7 percent in the win (25-for-60) compared to just a 30.8 mark (16-for-52) for the Owls.
ETSU started the game on a 14-4 run, capped by Jarvis Jones' 3-pointer with 9:15 to play before halftime, and never looked back. The Bucs led 29-13 at the break.
The Owls (5-10, 1-4) were led by freshman Markeith Cummings, who finished with 17 points. LaDaris Green finished with 12 points and three blocks for the Owls, who have dropped three straight.
