Cal State Northridge tops Cal Poly-SLO 73-68
Feb 18, 2010 - 5:58 AM NORTHRIDGE, Calif.(AP) -- Lenny Daniel scored 20 points and Kenny Daniels scored 19 points Wednesday night to lead Cal State Northridge to a 73-68 victory over Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.The two top scorers scored the first 10 points as Northridge (10-16, 5-7 Big West) took an early 10-4 lead, repeated their performance with the second half's first eight points to give the Matadors a 43-29 lead, and scored CSUN's last nine points after Cal Poly (9-16, 6-7) had made up a 14-point deficit and took a 65-64 lead with 2:03 remaining.
Willie Galick scored 10 of his 13 points in the second half for Northridge.
Lorenzo Keeler scored seven of Cal Poly's first nine points and finished with 23. He had a chance to tie the game at 71, but his 3-pointer with 2.8 seconds remaining missed, and Daniels grabbed the rebound.
Shawn Lewis scored 14 points for the Mustangs.
