No. 6 Gonzaga cruises past San Francisco

Jan 9, 2015 - 5:39 AM Spokane, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kevin Pangos had 17 points and five assists and No. 6 Gonzaga cruised to an 88-57 win over San Francisco on Thursday night.

Przemek Karnowski netted 16 points and Kyle Wiltjer added 15 points and five rebounds for the Bulldogs (15-1, 4-0 WCC), who have won eight straight games since their lone loss at Arizona on Dec. 6.

"We were very very efficient on the offensive end," Bulldogs coach Mark Few said. "Our defense finally started getting consistent stops."

Kruize Pinkins led the Dons (7-10, 1-4) with 20 points.

The Dons never cut the deficit below seven in the second half.

After Corey Hilliard hit a 3-pointer to trim the gap to 44-37 early in the second period, Gonzaga responded with an extended 18-4 run to put the game away.

Domantas Sabonis' three-point play preceded Pangos' triple, which capped the surge and upped the Bulldogs' advantage to 62-41 prior to the midway point of the half.

Gonzaga, which led 37-27 at the break, was up by as many as 33 down the stretch.
