Wisconsin aims for 10th consecutive victory, faces Georgia
Dec 31, 2006 - 3:29 PM No. 4 Wisconsin (13-1) at Georgia (8-3) 1:00 pm ESTATHENS, Georgia (Ticker) -- Fourth-ranked Wisconsin looks for its 10th straight victory when it faces Georgia in a non-conference clash on Sunday.
Off to their best start since 1928-29, the Badgers square off with a team from the Southeastern Conference for the first time since posting a 76-62 victory over Alabama on December 29, 2004.
Wisconsin captured its ninth consecutive win in rather easy fashion Wednesday with a 98-40 rout of Gardner-Webb. Brian Butch scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Badgers, who had four players reach double figures while shooting 59 percent (35-of-59) from the field.
Terrance Woodbury scored 14 points for the Bulldogs during a 75-60 loss to Clemson on Thursday, their second straight.
Wisconsin's last loss came at Missouri State on November 24.
