Irish complete 13-game homestand against Louisville
Jan 3, 2007 - 3:53 PM Louisville (10-4) at No. 22 Notre Dame (12-1) 6:00 pm ESTSOUTH BEND, Indiana (Ticker) -- Notre Dame completes a 13-game homestand to open the season against Louisville when the teams meet on Wednesday.
The Irish won their 11th straight game when they hammered Stony Brook, 95-66, on Saturday.
Senior guard Russell Carter led Notre Dame with 23 points while Colin Falls added 17 and Rob Kurz added 15.
The Irish played without starting guard Kyle McAlarney, who was suspended indefinitely after getting arrested for a marijuana possession charge. McAlarney was averaging 10.3 points a game.
The Cardinals won their fifth straight game when they scored an easy 66-51 win over North Carolina Asheville on Saturday.
Freshmen Edgar Sosa, Jerry Smith and Earl Clark led the Cardinals, who shot 44 percent (21-of-48) from the field, with 11 points apiece.
