Jan 4, 2007 - 4:55 PM No. 1 UCLA (13-0) at Oregon State (8-6) 10:00 pm EST

CORVALLIS, Oregon (Ticker) -- Off to its best start in 13 seasons, UCLA gets ready for its first true road game of the campaign.

The top-ranked Bruins attempt to win their 14th consecutive contest and remain unbeaten in the Pac-10 Conference on Thursday when they visit Oregon State.

UCLA has not opened a season with 14 victories since 1993-1994. In addition to nine triumphs at Pauley Pavilion, the Bruins won all three contests at the Maui Invitational and once at the John Wooden Classic at Anaheim.

Arron Afflalo made 11-of-15 shots and scored a career-high 27 points and Darren Collison and Michael Roll added 15 apiece for UCLA, which raised its conference record to 2-0 in Sunday's 96-74 victory over Washington.

Playing the eighth contest of a nine-game homestand, Oregon State had won four of five before Saturday's 76-73 defeat to Oregon.

Marcel Jones scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Sasa Cuic added 16 points for the Beavers, who lost despite shooting nearly 52 percent (30-of-58) from the floor.

UCLA won all three meetings over Oregon State last season and has taken 26 of the past 32 encounters.
