No. 7 Arizona goes for 12th straight win at No. 20 Washington

SEATTLE (Ticker) -- Arizona is not only winning consistently, it is doing so with room to spare.

The seventh-ranked Wildcats attempt to extend their winning streak to 12 games Thursday when they visit No. 24 Washington in a Pac-10 Conference showdown.

Looking for its longest streak since winning 19 in a row in 1997-1998, Arizona has defeated its opponents by an average by 15.7 points during the run. The Wildcats also are 158-19 when in the past 10 campaigns when scoring 80 or more points.

Marcus Williams scored 23 points, Ivan Radenovic added 22 and Mustafa Shakur 18 for Arizona, which shot 61 percent (30-of-49) from the floor in Saturday's 89-75 triumph over Stanford.

Washington won 10 of its first 11 contests before dropping its first two conference games. After a double-overtime defeat against Southern California, the Huskies suffered a 96-74 loss to UCLA on Sunday.

Spence Hawes scored 21 points and Jon Brockman added 13 with 10 rebounds for Washington, which has won seven of its last eight home contests against ranked opponents.

The Huskies have won six of the previous eight matchups against Arizona, including a 70-67 triumph in the regular-season finale on March 4.
