Alabama aims for seventh straight win, faces Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (Ticker) -- The eighth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide will look to stay on their hot streak as they open Southeastern Conference play on the road against the Arkansas Razorbacks Saturday.

Jermareo Davidson scored 17 points to lead Alabama to a 70-55 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners on Monday.

Richard Hendrix netted 14 points and Ronald Steele added 13 for the Crimson Tide, who shot 46 percent (22-of-48) from the floor.

The Crimson Tide, who finished with a 10-6 conference record last season, have won their last six games since dropping a 99-85 decision to Notre Dame on December 7.

The Razorbacks, who are perfect at home this campaign, defeated Tulsa 68-59 on Tuesday. Arkansas was led by Sonny Weems and Gary Ervin who each finished with 14 points apiece.

Arkansas defeated Alabama in its last meeting, 65-63, on February 21. Both teams finished tied for second in the SEC's Western Division last year.
