Jan 9, 2007 - 4:50 PM No. 18 LSU (11-3) at No. 13 Alabama (13-2) 9:00 pm EST

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama (Ticker) -- Glen Davis' postgame mishap on Saturday had Louisiana State concerned for a variety of reasons.

Davis is expected to play for the 16th-ranked Tigers when they go for their sixth consecutive victory Tuesday in their Southeastern Conference opener against Alabama.

The reigning SEC Player of the Year, Davis suffered soreness in his ribs and his knees after he was involved in an auto accident following Saturday's 66-49 victory over Connecticut.

Davis scored 16 points and Tasmin Mitchell added 16 with 10 rebounds for the Tigers, who held the Huskies to 31 percent (18-of-57) shooting.

After winning its final six non-conference games, Alabama suffered an 88-61 loss to Arkansas in its SEC opener on Saturday.

Alonzo Gee scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Mykal Riley added 11 points for the Crimson Tide, who shot just 26 percent (8-of-31) in the first half to trail, 44-20.

Alabama has won 15 straight home contests and has split the last four encounters with LSU.
