Jan 9, 2007 - 4:59 PM No. 9 Texas A&M (13-2) at Baylor (10-4) 8:00 pm EST

WACO, Texas (Ticker) -- Texas A&M has a chance to open a season with its best mark since Dwight Eisenhower was President of the United States.

The ninth-ranked Aggies take aim at their seventh consecutive victory and a 2-0 record in Big 12 Conference play in Tuesday's encounter with Baylor.

The nation's leader in defensive field goal percentage (34.5) and assists (21.3), Texas A&M is looking for its first 14-2 start since winning 16 of its first 18 games in 1959-1960.

Acie Law scored 18 points and Joseph Jones added 17 for the Aggies in Saturday's 69-65 triumph over Kansas State in its conference opener. Texas A&M is the only team in the country to limit every opponent to less than 66 points.

After winning four consecutive contests, Baylor lost its first conference game of the campaign in Saturday's 81-77 defeat to Oklahoma State.

Kevin Rogers scored 18 points, Tweety Carter added 15 and Henry Dugat 13 for the Bears, who are off to their best start since 2001-2002 and have won 13 of 15 at home.

Baylor has lost four straight to Texas A&M and 24 in a row against ranked opponents.
