NEW YORK (Ticker) -- No. 22 Connecticut looks to avoid a third straight defeat when it visits St. John's in a Big East Conference matchup.

The Huskies have dropped three of four games since beginning the season 11-0, including a 73-69 home loss to Marquette on Wednesday.

Doug Wiggins came off the bench to score 19 points and Jeff Adrien added 18 for the Huskies (12-3, 1-3 Big East), who shot just 32 percent (19-of-60).

UConn coach Jim Calhoun needs three victories to reach 500 with the program and five to reach 750 overall.

St. John's (10-6, 1-2) also has lost back-to-back games and three of four. The Red Storm are coming off a 79-63 setback at Seton Hall on Thursday despite 22 points from Anthony Mason Jr.

The Red Storm are 32-23 all-time against the Huskies, but UConn has won seven of the last nine.
