No. 13 Nevada looks to remain undefeated in WAC

Jan 18, 2007 - 4:25 PM Fresno St (13-4) at No. 13 Nevada (16-1) 10:05 pm EST

RENO, Nevada (Ticker) -- Nevada hopes to keep moving forward in the Western Athletic Conference.

The 13th-ranked Wolfpack will try to extend their 14-game conference winning streak when they host Frenso State on Friday.

Nevada (16-1, 4-0 WAC) remained undefeated in four conference games after its 68-66 overtime triumph at Hawaii on Saturday. Ramon Sessions scored 19 points and Kyle Shiloh added 18 in the win.

The Wolfpack are still uncertain whether star forward Nick Fazekas will be back in the lineup after missing the last two games with a badly sprained ankle. He is averaging 20.3 points and 12.1 rebounds in 15 games this season.

The Bulldogs (13-4, 2-2) dropped their second straight game, a 64-61 setback to San Jose State last Saturday. Hector Hernandez poured in 15 points and Quinton Hosley had 10 and 12 rebounds.

Nevada and Frenso State split in two meetings last season with each protecting home-court adavantage.
