Air Force goes for 27th straight home win

Jan 23, 2007 - 5:29 PM TCU (10-7) at No. 13 Air Force (18-2) 9:00 pm EST

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Ticker) - Air Force goes for its 27th straight home victory Tuesday when it hosts slumping Texas Christian in a Mountain West Conference game.

The Falcons (18-2, 5-1 MWC) have only lost twice this season, including a 71-56 setback at Duke on November 20. Air Force is tied with Brigham Young for the second-longest home streak in the country behind Gonzaga's 47 straight wins.

Air Force improved to 8-0 at home this season with a 56-51 league win over San Diego State on Saturday. Jacob Burtschi, who averages 13.7 points, led the Falcons with 23.

It was the second-highest output of the season for the senior forward, who poured in 24 in a 79-45 rout of Stanford on November 15.

The Horned Frogs (10-7, 2-3) have dropped their last three games. They are shooting just 37.7 percent (65-of-172) from the field during that stretch, which includes Saturday's 75-66 loss to UNLV.

Alvarado Parker led TCU with 20 points. Kevin Langford, whose 11.7 points per game average leads the Horned Frogs, added 14.
