Jayhawks look for 12th home win when they host Buffaloes
Jan 27, 2007 - 1:54 PM Colorado (5-11) at No. 8 Kansas (17-3) 1:30 pm ESTLAWRENCE, Kansas (Ticker) -- Kansas looks for its 12th home win of the season when it hosts Big 12 rival Colorado on Saturday.
The Jayhawks are 4-1 in league play and are in a four-way tie for first place while the Buffaloes are 1-5 and mired in last place.
The Jayhawks are 12-1 in their last 13 and 11-1 at home this season. They come off an easy 82-56 rout of Baylor on Wednesday.
Brandon Rush, the first freshman in Kansas history to lead his team in scoring and rebounding last season, led the Jayhawks with 18 points while Sherron Collins came off the bench to finish with 13 points.
Colorado is 1-5 in its last six and tries to rebound from a 79-65 loss to Missouri on Wednesday. Xavier Silas led the Buffaloes with 16 points while Jeremy Williams finished with 15.
Williams is averaging 7.1 points per game and only reached double figures once in his last eight games prior to the Missouri game.
