Missouri runs away from Oregon 106-69

Dec 6, 2009 - 12:28 AM COLUMBIA, Mo.(AP) -- Marcus Denmon tied his career-high with 17 points, and Missouri used first-half runs of 11-0 and 22-1 to pull away from Oregon for a 106-69 victory in a Big 12-Pac-10 Hardwood Series game on Saturday.

Coming off consecutive losses for the first time since March 2008, Missouri (5-2) took a 53-24 lead into halftime. It was the fourth straight home game that the Tigers scored more than 50 points in the first half.

After shooting just 38 percent during their last three contests, the Tigers fired at a 58-percent clip from the field, including 14 for 29 from 3-point range. Missouri had six players score in double figures.

Malcolm Armstead had 12 points for the Ducks (4-3), who were 22 for 72 from the floor, a season-low 31 percent.
