No. 24 Kentucky aims for fourth straight win vs. SEC West

Feb 3, 2007 - 3:24 PM No. 24 Kentucky (16-5) at Arkansas (14-7) 1:05 pm EST

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (Ticker) -- 24th-ranked Kentucky goes for its fourth straight win against a Southeastern Conference Western Division foe when it travels to Arkansas on Saturday.

The Wildcats (5-2 SEC East) have already captured triumphs over Mississippi, Auburn and Mississippi State within the SEC West already.

"This is an important game, like every game is as you head into this portion of the schedule," Kentucky coach Tubby Smith said. "As everybody is trying to position themselves for postseason play and we are still in the hunt for the SEC Championship."

Kentucky bounced back after dropping back-to-back conference games with Sunday's impressive 76-57 victory vs. Tennessee led by junior guard Ramel Bradley's 21 points.

Last Saturday, the Razorbacks were able to register their second triumph in three games, a 63-57 upset at Alabama. Freshman standout Patrick Beverley scored 19 points in the win.

Arkansas (3-4 SEC West) has relied heavily on its defense this season, allowing just 63.2 points per game - third overall in the conference.
