Feb 3, 2007 - 3:41 PM No. 25 Indiana (16-5) at Iowa (12-10) 2:00 pm EST

IOWA CITY, Iowa (Ticker) -- By holding on to win its last game, Indiana gave itself a tremendous boost of momentum.

The 25th-ranked Hoosiers attempt to win for the eighth time in nine games and close in on first place in the Big Ten Conference with Saturday's matchup against Iowa.

Indiana raised its conference mark to 6-2 and moved within one game of No. 2 Wisconsin and Ohio State with Wednesday's 71-66 victory over the Badgers.

A.J. Ratliff made 7-of-9 shots, including 4-of-6 from the arc, to score a season-high 20 points for the Hoosiers who ended the Badgers' 17-game winning streak. Since missing two games in early January with an injured wrist, Ratliff is shooting 25-of-40 from the floor and has made 18-of-25 3-pointers.

The Hawkeyes have dropped three of their last five and are just 4-4 against Big Ten foes. However, they have won 21 straight home games, including 12 in a row in conference play.

Iowa rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit in Wednesday's 69-62 victory over Michigan. Tyler Smith scored 22 points and Adam Haluska added 17 with 10 rebounds.

Playing their 2,400th game, the Hawkeyes are hoping to avenge a 71-64 loss to the Hoosiers on January 16. D.J. White scored 23 points for Indiana, while Haluska had 21 for Iowa.
