PROVO, Utah (Ticker) -- With its best start in 14 seasons, Nevada-Las Vegas is starting to remind fans of its past glory.

The 25th-ranked Runnin' Rebels can win their sixth consecutive contest and 20th of the season when they visit Brigham Young on Saturday in a key Mountain West Conference matchup.

UNLV has not had a 20-win campaign in four seasons and is in a three-way tie with BYU and Air Force for the top spot in the conference standings (6-2). The squad is 6-3 on the road and 14-1 when limiting opponents to less than 67 points.

The Runnin' Rebels are coming off Tuesday's 76-59 triumph over Colorado State. Reigning MWC Player of the Week Wink Adams scored 17 points and Wendell White added 16 for UNLV.

The league leader in points (76.8), rebounds, (38.4) and assists (16.1), the Cougars have won three straight games and four of their last five. They will look to extend their home-court winning streak to 28 straight games.

BYU continued its recent solid play with Wednesday's 76-66 victory over Utah. Keena Young led the Cougars with 21 points and Jonathan Tavernari added 17 off the bench.

UNLV posted an 83-75 victory over BYU in their first meeting of the season January 13, which evened the all-time series, 11-11. Adams led the Runnin' Rebels with 27 points and White added 21 with 10 rebounds.
