Northern Arizona defeats Air Force 60-52
Dec 20, 2009 - 4:44 AM AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.(AP) -- Shane Johannsen had 17 points and eight rebounds to lead Northern Arizona to a 60-52 victory over Air Force on Saturday night.Reid Wallace added 11 points off the bench and Cameron Jones had 10 for the Lumberjacks (4-6), who trailed 27-23 at the half but opened the second half on a 12-2 run to take the lead for good.
Tom Fow led the Falcons (5-4) with 15 points, and Evan Washington and Todd Fletcher each added 11.
Northern Arizona led by as many as 13 before Air Force closed the gap to four. The Lumberjacks hit six free throws in the final 35 seconds to seal the win.
Air Force, which lost its second straight and for the third time in four games, connected on just 3-of-13 3-pointers and was 11 of 21 from the free-throw line.
