Okoye leads Boise State past Portland State 69-62

Dec 22, 2009 - 5:26 AM BOISE, Idaho(AP) -- Ike Okoye scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Boise State in a 69-62 victory over Portland State Monday night.

Boise State (7-4) held Portland State to its lowest shooting percentage of the season at 32.8 percent. The Vikings entered the game ranked 14th in the country in field-goal shooting with an average of 50.2 percent.

Portland State (5-7) took its first lead since 2-0 when Dominic Waters hit a 3-pointer to put the Vikings ahead 39-36 with 11:35 remaining in the game.

The Broncos responded with a 12-3 run and never allowed Portland State closer than four points the rest of the game.

Robert Arnold and La'Shard Anderson scored 13 points each for Boise State.

Portland State was led by Dominic Waters with 20 points and Jamie Jones with 13.
