Arizona looks for revenge vs. Oregon

Feb 10, 2007 - 3:55 PM Arizona (16-7) at No. 15 Oregon (20-4) 3:30 pm EST

EUGENE, Oregon (Ticker) -- Starting to round into form, Arizona looks to exact revenge on a Pac-10 rival.

Winners of two straight, Arizona will look to avenge a loss to 15th-ranked Oregon when the teams face off again on Saturday.

After absorbing a 79-77 loss to Oregon (20-4, 8-4 Pac-10) on January 14, the Wildcats fell into a rut, losing four of their next five games. Looking more like the team that won 12 straight games earlier this campaign, Arizona now has won two straight.

In their last contest, the Wildcats posted a 72-66 victory over Oregon State on Thursday. Marcus Williams scored 23 points for Arizona (16-7, 7-5), which has dug in defensively. In their two straight wins, the Wildcats have allowed opponents to shoot just 43 percent and score an average of 60 points.

A last-second bank shot from Aaron Brooks gave the Ducks their win over Arizona. Brooks was held to a season-low five points on Thursday, but the Ducks still beat Arizona State, 55-51.

Oregon has lost seven of the last nine meetings with Arizona.
