No. 17 Oklahoma State can win 17th straight home game

Feb 10, 2007 - 3:58 PM Texas Tech (15-9) at No. 17 Oklahoma St (18-5) 4:00 pm EST

STILLWATER, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Oklahoma State's secret to rebounding from difficult losses is simply to head home.

The 17th-ranked Cowboys attempt to end their two-game losing streak on Saturday when they host Texas Tech for the first time this season in a Big 12 Conference matchup.

Oklahoma State (18-5, 4-4 Big 12) has won 16 consecutive home games and is 244-30 here in the past 19 campaigns. The streak has been a blessing for the Cowboys, who have dropped their last four road games and are in sixth place in the Big 12 race, one-half game ahead of Texas Tech.

After losing at Colorado last Saturday, Oklahoma State managed just 20 points in the first half of Wednesday's 67-60 defeat to Oklahoma. Mario Boggan scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and JamesOn Curry added 17 points for the Cowboys.

The Red Raiders (15-9, 4-5) have dropped their last four games to tie their longest streak since Hall of Famer Bob Knight became coach in 2001-1002. He is just 45-44 in six seasons of Big 12 play.

Texas Tech failed to hold a 13-point halftime lead in Tuesday's 61-59 loss to Nebraska. Martin Zeno scored 18 points and Jon Plefka added 15 off the bench for the Red Raiders.

Oklahoma State has won six of the last seven matchups against Texas Tech.
