Law, No. 7 Texas A&M search for rare road win at Nebraska

Feb 10, 2007 - 4:27 PM No. 7 Texas A&M (20-3) at Nebraska (14-8) 8:00 pm EST

LINCOLN, Nebraska (Ticker) -- Things haven't always gone as plan for Texas A&M when it comes to town. But Senior Acie Law IV would like to change all that.

Law and the seventh-ranked Aggies will put a four-game winning streak on the line Saturday when they visit Nebraska in a Big 12 Conference matchup.

Texas A&M (20-3, 8-1 Big 12) has not had much success here, winning just once in seven all-time trips to Lincoln. The Aggies have not captured a road win in the series since a 53-52 triumph in 2003.

The Aggies will also be playing with a heavy heart due to the death of former coach Dr. Shelby Metcalf, who died Thursday. He guided the program to five NCAA trips and four NIT appearances in 27 years on the bench.

On Monday, Josh Carter had 24 points and 10 rebounds and Law chipped in 21 and 15 assists in the Aggies' 100-82 win over intrastate rival Texas.

The Huskers(14-8, 3-5 Big 12) rallied from a 13-point deficit for a 61-59 triumph at Texas Tech on Tuesday. It was the biggest come-from-behind road win in school history since joining the conference.

Charles Richardson Jr. led the charge with 15 points, seven assists and six assists for Nebraska, which is hoping to avoid its first two-game slide in the series against Texas A&M.
