No. 15 Sou Illinois seeks sweep of Missouri St
Feb 13, 2007 - 3:50 PM No. 15 Southern Illinois (21-5) at Missouri St (19-7) 8:05 pm ESTSPRINGFIELD, Missouri (Ticker) -- Southern Illinois seeks to extend a seven-game winning streak and complete a season sweep of Missouri State when the Missouri Valley Conference schools meet on Tuesday.
The Salukis (21-5, 12-3 MVC) moved into sole possession of first place in the MVC with a 72-68 victory over Creighton on Saturday. Junior Matt Shaw led the way with 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting.
Southern Illinois beat Missouri State, 70-52, on January 13.
Missouri State (19-7, 10-5) enters with a five-game winning streak. The Bears defeated Northern Iowa, 62-58, last Saturday as Blake Ahearn scored 19 points.
