Kansas St hosts Kansas in Big 12 showdown

MANHATTAN, Kansas (Ticker) -- Kansas State can improve its shot at an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament with a win over Big 12 Conference rival Kansas on Monday.

Kansas State (19-8, 8-4) is riding a six-game home winning streak and is in fourth place in the Big 12.

Kansas (23-4, 10-2 Big 12) won the first meeting, 97-70 on February 7. Brandon Rush led the Jayhawks with 18 points and Darrell Arthur added 14.

The Wildcats are coming off a 65-47 win over Iowa State. David Hoskins led Kansas State with 20 points and Cartier Martin added 17.

The Jayhawks have won four straight, including a 92-39 victory over Nebraska on Saturday. Rush and Arthur each had 13 points.
