Feb 21, 2007 - 3:05 PM Penn St (10-15) at No. 1 Ohio St (24-3) 8:00 pm EST

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- New No. 1 Ohio State must avoid a letdown on Wednesday when it hosts Penn State in a Big Ten Conference game.

On Sunday, Ohio State will face second-ranked Wisconsin, which lost at Michigan State on Tuesday.

Penn State (10-15, 1-11 Big Ten) has lost 11 in a row following a 75-49 drubbing by Wisconsin last Saturday. The Nittany Lions gave up 22 points to Wooden Award candidate Alando Tucker and turned the ball over 18 times against the Buckeyes.

Ohio State (24-3, 12-1) struggled against Penn State in the first meeting between the teams, barely pulling out a 64-62 victory last Wednesday in State College. The Buckeyes held a 21-point halftime advantage before Geary Claxton scored 15 second-half points to rally the Nittany Lions.

Ohio State has won 11 straight, including 10 Big Ten contests. The streak is the longest conference win streak for the Buckeyes since 1971.

Freshman Greg Oden collected 19 points and nine rebounds in the Buckeyes' 85-67 win over Minnesota.

Freshman Mike Conley Jr. leads the Big Ten in assists at 6.4 per game.
