Acie Law IV leads Texas A&M into Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Acie Law IV has led Texas A&M to a top 10 ranking and a tie for first place in the Big 12 Conference with Kansas.

The Aggies (22-4, 10-2 Big 12) have won six of their last seven games to put themselves in position to win the Big 12 regular season title with a strong finish.

Texas A&M won the first meeting between the teams, 67-49, at home. Law IV scored 16 to lead the Aggies and Josh Carter grabbed seven rebounds as Texas A&M held Oklahoma State to just 33 percent (12-of-36) shooting for the game.

The Cowboys (19-7, 5-6) have cooled off recently, losing four of their last five games. Oklahoma State has yet to win a road game against a Big 12 opponent. The latest loss for the Cowboys was a 75-64 defeat at home to Missouri in which Oklahoma State let the Tigers shoot 62 percent from the floor in the second half.

Law IV is averaging 19.2 points per game in Big 12 play and has been named a finalist for the Bob Cousy award as the nation's top point guard. Law is helped on the perimeter by Carter, who ranks second in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage at 51 percent.

Oklahoma is led by four-time Big 12 player of the week Mario Boggan, who averages 20.8 points per game, and guard JamesOn Curry, who chips in 18.1 points per game.
