No. 9 Texas A&M returns home, goes for season sweep of Baylor

Feb 24, 2007 - 3:12 PM Baylor (13-13) at No. 9 Texas A&M (23-4) 1:30 pm EST

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) -- Acie Law and Texas A&M hope to start another home winning streak.

The ninth-ranked Aggies return for the first time since having their 21-game home winning streak snapped when they welcome in Baylor in Big 12 Conference matchup on Saturday.

The contest marks Texas A&M's first game here since dropping a heartbreaking 77-75 decision to bitter rival Texas Tech on February 13.

Law scored 23 points in that game and drilled the tying 3-pointer with six seconds left, but Texas Tech's Jarrius Jackson knocked down the game-winning jumper as time expired.

The Aggies have bounced back since that loss, sweeping their two-game Sooner State road trip.

Law scored 19 points to lead three players in double figures as the Aggies rolled to a 66-46 victory at Oklahoma State on Wednesday. The win came four days after Texas A&M held on for a 56-49 triumph at Oklahoma.

Texas A&M (23-4, 11-2 Big 12) has won seven of its last eight contests and is 18-2 through its last 20 conference games.

On Wednesday, the Bears put an end to their four-game losing streak with a 63-59 victory over Nebraska. Tweety Carter and Henry Dugat netted 15 points apiece in the win.

However, Baylor (13-13, 3-10) has dropped an 23 straight conference road games, with its last win away from home in league play coming here on February 25, 2004.

In the first matchup, Law scored 20 points and Joseph Jones added 14 and 12 rebounds for Texas A&M in a 61-51 win in Waco on January 9.
