Young leads Drake past Cal State-Northridge 90-80
Feb 21, 2010 - 5:53 AM LOS ANGELES(AP) -- Josh Young scored 20 points to lead Drake to a 90-80 victory over Cal State-Northridge in a BracketBusters game Saturday night.Young also hit three 3-pointers for the Bulldogs (13-16). Adam Templeton added 16 points, Seth VanDeest scored 13 and Ryan Wedel and Ben Simons each had 10.
Lenny Daniel led Northridge (10-17) with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Kenny Daniels scored 15 points and Raymond Cody 12 on four 3-pointers.
The Matadors trailed by 13 before using an 8-0 run to pull to within 84-79. They were unable to get any closer.
The Bulldogs trailed 20-12 early but went into halftime up 44-39. They opened the second half with a 16-8 run to take a 60-47 advantage and extended their lead to as many as 15.
