SIU-Edwardsville wins season finale 76-66
Feb 26, 2010 - 3:57 AM EDWARDSVILLE, Ill.(AP) -- Mark Yelovich scored 28 points and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville defeated Hannibal-LaGrange 76-66 Thursday night.It was the final game of the season for Southern Illinois-Edwardsville (5-23), which as a newer member of the Ohio Valley Conference, is not yet eligible for the conference tournament that begins next week.
Aamir McCleary had 15 points and eight rebounds, and Cody Rincker scored 11 points for the Cougars, who led 38-28 at halftime and never trailed in the game. They increased the lead to 19 points early in the second half.
Brock Webber led the Trojans (10-17) with 14 points. Tomas Trujillo added 11 for NAIA member Hannibal-LaGrange.
