Campbell defeats North Florida 57-49
Feb 28, 2010 - 2:58 AM JACKSONVILLE, Fla.(AP) -- Junard Hartley had seven of Campbell's 11 steals and the Camels defeated North Florida 57-49 on Saturday night.Campbell (19-10, 14-6 Atlantic Sun Conference) scored 20 points off 17 turnovers, and clinched at least a No. 4 seed in the conference tournament that begins March 3. It's the highest seed for the Camels since a No. 2 spot in 1996.
Miles Taylor scored 15 points, Jonathan Rodriguez 12 and Hartley 10 for Campbell, which has won seven of its last eight against the Ospreys (13-17, 8-12).
The Camels outrebounded North Florida 46-38, with Taylor grabbing nine boards.
After trailing 23-22 at halftime, Campbell shot 38.7 percent (12 of 31), while holding the Ospreys to just 1 of 10 from 3-point range in the second half.
North Florida shot 19 percent from behind the arc (4 of 21).
Jerron Granberry scored 14 points for the Ospreys and Matt Sauey added 13.
