Feb 27, 2007 - 2:50 PM West Virginia (20-7) at No. 12 Pittsburgh (24-5) 7:00 pm EST

PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Aaron Gray is recovering from an ankle injury. He hopes to be at full strength when 12th-ranked Pittsburgh hosts West Virginia on Tuesday in a Big East Conference contest.

Gray has missed just one game since spraining his left ankle in a February 17 game, but has been limited by the injury. The team's leading scorer and rebounder, Gray has totaled 16 points and 15 rebounds in his last two games.

After sitting out of a 71-68 win at Seton Hall on February 19, Gray came off the bench to score 10 and grab six boards against Georgetown last Saturday in a 61-53 loss. Sam Young and Ronald Ramon added 11 points each for the Panthers (24-5, 11-3 Big East), who can tie Georgetown for first place in the Big East.

Gray and Pittsburgh now turn their attention to West Virginia in the 173rd meeting in the series.

West Virginia (20-7, 8-6) has lost five of its last six trips to Pittsburgh.

The Mountaineers also enter with losses in each of their last two road games, including a 64-61 setback at Providence last Tuesday. Frank Young and Darris Nichols had 14 points apiece for the club, which shot just 22 percent (9-of-41) from 3-point range.

Sam Young had 21 points and Gray added 14 and nine rebounds as Pittsburgh posted a 60-47 road victory on February 7.
