Long Beach State eliminates Cal Poly-SLO 79-69
Mar 12, 2010 - 4:18 AM ANAHEIM, Calif.(AP) -- T.J. Robinson had 18 points and eight rebounds and Larry Anderson added 16 points to lead Long Beach State to a 79-69 victory over Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo in the second round of the Big West Conference tournament Thursday night.Anderson also had seven rebounds and five assists while Stephan Gilling scored 13 points and Eugene Phelps 12 for the third-seeded 49ers (16-15). Long Beach State will play second-seeded Pacific (20-10) in the semifinals Friday night after earning its fourth win in five games.
Jordan Lewis scored 14 points for the sixth-seeded Mustangs (12-19). Shawn Lewis added 13 points and Will Taylor had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
