Soon after, a three-pointer by Walker and a transition layup by Napier gave the Huskies a 42-36 edge. Near the midpoint of the frame, a triple from the left corner by Tyrone Conley brought the visitors within 46-44, but a three- point play by Napier on the ensuing possession put UConn on top by five.

With under five minutes remaining, a running layup by Walker through the lane made it 55-48 and after UNH missed on its next possession, the Huskies answered with a pair of free throws by Walker for a nine-point lead.

Myrick cut the Wildcats' deficit to 58-53 with a three-pointer with one minute to play, but the Huskies used solid foul shooting down the stretch and held on for the victory.
