Ole Miss upends No. 18 Mississippi State

Jan 19, 2012 - 5:04 AM Oxford, MS (Sports Network) - Reginald Buckner had 19 points and 15 rebounds as Ole Miss upended No. 18 Mississippi State, 75-68.

Nick Williams had 17 points while Jarvis Summers and Terrance Henry each added 12 points for the Rebels (12-6, 2-2 SEC), who had dropped five of seven coming in.

Renardo Sidney had 17 points and nine boards, Dee Bost added 15 points and six assists and Rodney Hood added 13 points for the Bulldogs (15-4, 2-2), who had a two-game winning streak stopped.

Ole Miss jumped out a 12-3 lead six minutes in when Williams tipped in a Murphy Holloway miss, but the Bulldogs rallied and took a 21-19 lead on a Jalen Steele three-ball with 9 1/2 minutes left.

An 8-0 run a bit later gave the Rebels the lead back and the team took a 38-33 advantage into the break.

Buckets from Henry and Buckner to start the second half pushed the advantage back to nine points.

The Bulldogs kept things close for the next several minutes and got it back to four a couple times, including two free throws from Sidney making it a 57-53 game with 6 1/2 minutes to play.

It was a 59-56 game after Bost drained a trey, but Summers and Holloway followed with buckets.

A dunk from Arnett Moultrie followed by a Sidney layup cut the lead back to three, 63-60, but Ole Miss was able to hit its free throws down the stretch for the win.
