Hawaii reinstates Wiseman
Feb 11, 2012 - 2:10 AM Honolulu, HI (Sports Network) - The University of Hawaii announced on Friday that sophomore forward Trevor Wiseman has been reinstated to the team.Wiseman was suspended indefinitely by the team on Monday and missed the Rainbow Warriors' 88-79 loss to Nevada on Thursday.
"I am a big believer that you must discipline yourself so others won't have to. As a coach there are times when disciplining a player is necessary even if it may cost you a game or two," Hawaii head coach Gib Arnold said in a statement. "Trevor made some mistakes. He came to me and the team and apologized. I hope he has learned from this and I believe his further actions now give him an opportunity to grow and become a better player and person."
Through 30 games -- eight starts -- for Hawaii this season, Wiseman has averaged 4.2 points and 4.0 rebounds a game.
