Nov 20, 2012 - 5:35 AM Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - Travis Releford scored a game-high 17 points as No. 12 Kansas rolled over Washington State, 78-41, in the semifinals of the Edward Jones CBE Hall of Fame Classic at the Sprint Center.

Perry Ellis added 12 points and Ben McLemore netted 11 for the Jayhawks (3-1), who will face St. Louis in the final on Tuesday.

Brock Motum was the lone member of the Cougars (2-2) to score in double digits with 14 as Washington State dropped its second straight game.

Kansas opened the game with a 10-2 run capped by a McLemore 3-pointer and never looked back in the wire-to-wire victory.

A couple of baskets by Royce Woolridge and Dexter Kernich-Drew around a Releford jumper brought the Cougars within 12-6 before Kansas pulled away for good with a 16-3 push to jump out to a 28-9 advantage.

Washington State never got closer than 15 points from there as Kansas used a 64-percent shooting performance over the opening 20 minutes to take a 50-21 lead into the break.

The Cougars, meanwhile, were held to just 32 percent from the floor in the first half.

The Jayhawks then cruised through the second half, leading by at least a 28 points and as much as a 44 en route to the big win.
